Some appear to be authentic while others are obvious knock-offs of popular hobby-grade quads. There are other quads of even more questionable pedigree. Buying a micro quad with a gamepad-like transmitter or one that is controlled by an iPhone wont truly help you transition to bigger more capable quads. A neat aspect of micro quads is that you can fly them inside your home. Foul weather and darkness require not hamper your training. As I said you will run into things as you find out (and beyond). So be reasonable and stay away from animals kids the plasma screen Aunt Ediths urn... you get the concept.
A DJI Phantom 3 review would not be complete without mention of intuitive controls and stability during flight. The DJI Phantom 3 drone has a lot going for it. Firstly the mobile device holder for the phone or tablet to control the unit is included with the initial purchase. As advertised this model handles fabulously hovers perfectly and delivers some spectacular 4K UHD footage. The 720p live stream from the camera to the device was clear and very helpful in controlling the 3-axis camera. All together this drone delivered some really impressive results in the air.
There are plenty of different drones in the marketplace but one of the best I have piloted is the DJI Phantom 3 Professional. Capable of 4K ultra-high definition video this drone also produces live streams video to iOS and Android devices so that the pilot can see exactly what the drone is seeing. The really unique feature about this particular model is the presence of Vision Positioning system which allows for stable and predictable flight whenever a GPS signal is not available. Of course outside with GPS reception this drone is capable of automatic landings and takeoffs and built-in programming of no-fly zones.
And though the large 5200 mAh batteries provide long endurance flights of up to 25 minutes they are quite expensive. Also the props are more expensive than if you bought standard props. But overall for someone who is looking to get a full package helping them get into the hobby the DJI Phantom and DJI Phantom Vision are great quadcopters to go with. Remember to always fly responsibly and be conscious of the safety of those around you. Never fly over people or in populated areas and practice in open fields. Make sure all batteries are charged before beginning to fly the last thing you want is to lose signal and have a fly away.
