The DJI Phantom 3 is a professional drone that should be in the arsenal of any serious hobbyist or video production company. The user-friendly performance is miles above many of the lower priced models many drone pilots learn on and the massive technical wizardry involved in this unit underscore that point. This model is made to bring video from UAVs to the next level and it succeeds in every way. National Geographic is a great channel. As much as it brings wildlife in a totally different frame in front of us it also brings the ugly side that wildlife has to face in the hands of a class that is supposed to be intelligent and compassionate- mankind.
I really did not see any problem with the DJI Phantom 3 except the price. Like the other unmanned aerial vehicles on the market this device is not a toy. Since the price tag on this unit outpaces twelve-hundred bucks anyone considering a purchase may realize that this is a tool. The tool is perfect for top quality video production and getting some truly amazing shots. Once you get past the price tag though there really is not a lot of bad things to say about this drone. It delivers in every aspect of performance and use. DJI has delivered on this particular quadcopter.
Some appear to be authentic while others are obvious knock-offs of popular hobby-grade quads. There are other quads of even more questionable pedigree. Buying a micro quad with a gamepad-like transmitter or one that is controlled by an iPhone wont truly help you transition to bigger more capable quads. A neat aspect of micro quads is that you can fly them inside your home. Foul weather and darkness require not hamper your training. As I said you will run into things as you find out (and beyond). So be reasonable and stay away from animals kids the plasma screen Aunt Ediths urn... you get the concept.
Also such remote controlled drones are more befitting the environment in which they will be deployed. The new released DJI Phantom 2 is all equipped with a new remote control with great features like a gimbal control dial trainer port built-in rechargeable LiPo battery with a capacity of 2000mAh battery level LED indicators and throttle locking feature that holds the throttle stick in place when descending. Just letting the drone hover around however is not the end of the affair. A monitoring also is necessary which is done from a ground station.
