Ready-to-Fly are the most commonly used UAVs among general public hobbyists and entrepreneurs. As it is clear from the name these types of flying machines do not need much assembly as they come equipped with the required functionality and you only need to put in the batteries and you are good to go. These RTF vehicle are designed to provide the user with many basic and advanced features which are quite useful for a number of applications. The latest quadcopters come with a 12 MP camera for taking excellent quality aerial photos as well as record 4K video. They also offer live HD video streaming on your smartphone or any other hand-held device. The newest ones are associated with a mobile app to give you more control over its functionality as well as use a flight simulator for learning to fly. The flight times vary from model to model but a fairly good quality quadcopter provides up to 30 minutes of continuous flight time.
It is good to make sure that the option they settle for is sturdy in design to serve longer and survive falls and crashes. It should support flying techniques that are advanced. It should offer simplicity in flying and have an instruction manual that is easy to understand. There should be enough proof of high picture video quality. It has to be light in weight multifunctional improved with visible upgrades from previous brand models. Before settling for a quad copter and finally choosing what the best is one must take time to go through previous reviews in known sites that are trusted such as Amazon. There are always many user reviews both positive and negative that can give one a clear scope of what they are looking for and where they can find it. Based on such honest judgment from unknown people its always easier to decide. There are many websites offering free information on quadcopters. There must be thorough researching beforehand. Quality isnt to be compromised. There are known companies that provide top notch quadcopters and have steadily upgraded their models. The DJI Phantom GoPro quadcopter is one such quality product that is currently ranking really high and has received a lot of satisfied approval.
It should have an autopilot system intelligent orientation control and accessories such as a receiver and remote controller for easier navigation. There are extra minor features which are also important for many people such as live video streaming and the ability for one to control a GoPro quadcopter using a tablet or a smart phone. It should have a design that is highly integrated and attractive to catch the buyers eye. Software tuning and hardware mounting must have been done before delivery to spare the user any stress. It must have a setup that is fast and a control layout that is easy to maneuver. It is always relieving to receive a GoPro quadcopter that is pre-assembled after making an order. One only needs to charge its battery and put on the props.
So because it is so difficult to learn how to fly a quadcopter I will always recommend that a beginner buy a small quadcopter toy before dropping $450 on a DJI Phantom for example. There are a couple good little quadcopter toys out there but my favorite is the Syma X1 Quadcopter. It comes in a few different configurations you can get a space ship bumblebee or UFO. It comes with everything you need to fly for just about $30. That includes a 2.4 GHz transmitter so you can fly indoors and outdoors with a pretty good range. It also means that you can fly more than a couple of these guys around. It can also do flips in any direction at the touch of a button! One important thing to note is how to calibrate it. A lot of people think that their quadcopter is broken because after they plug in the battery and try to fly it it will always veer off in one direction. This is because when they plugged it in it wasnt on level ground when it calibrated the gyros. So what the flight controller thinks is level really isnt level. So what you have to do is plug in the battery then immediately place it on a flat surface so it can calibrate correctly. Then you are ready to go!
