The battery that comes with the model is a 1S 3.7V 500 mAh LiPo battery and provides about 10 minutes of battery life. The battery does take about 45 minutes to charge so you might want to get yourself a couple extra batteries so that you can fly for longer periods of time. They are pretty cheap and provide for much more fun! And dont worry about crashing as long as you are over grass you can pretty much crash it as much as you want. The carbon fiber spars are strong and the plastic canopy is durable. It is so light that there is not a lot of momentum built up in a crash so there is not a lot of damage that can occur. But if you DO happen to break something there are in depth tutorials online on how to repair your little quadcopter. It also comes with spare propellers and you can buy replacement parts online.
A GoPro quadcopter should have a reasonably long battery life to be able to last through aerial shots and to provide longer flights thus more footage. Getting an overly expensive model doesnt always mean better value for money. There are cheaper models that outdo some really expensive ones. The important thing is to look for features that fall within a reasonable price range. Choice should be largely influenced by price and the features that will suit ones need. A GoPro quadcopter that is way below the average price range isnt such a wise buy either. It should be compatible with the most recent GoPro models to enable easier mounting and to ensure protection of the camera. Compatibility reduces worry and the need to do any minor adjustments. It should have extra features like integrated GPS functions USB ports that are built in propellers to help in the prevention of crashes and effective distance control of up to 300 meters.
Examples of these UAVs include Global Hawk Mariner Hunter Predator and Fire Scout. These are large sophisticated flying machines with a satellite data link system cameras radar laser designators and weapons. Most of these are fully autonomous which means they are intelligent devices capable of decision making during their flight. They capture battle damage information in real time and convey it back to the soldiers on ground. They are able to provide continuous operations for up to 7 or 8 hours of staying in the air. There are six functional categories of UAVs and these machines are designed to achieve a particular objective. The purposes that they fulfill include target acquisition battlefield intelligence attack (also known as unmanned combat air vehicle) cargo and logistics research and development and commercial UAVs. UAVs are also classified according to their size and these are known as micro miniature midsize and large military-specific or combat.
There are some safety precautions to protect yourself as well as the machine from damaging itself and crash landing and also other people to get hurt. Remember to pull down the throttle to zero if you see your quadcopter going out of control and about to crash or collide with something. Always stay away from spinning propellers or do not handle a quadcopter when the propellers are rotating. This happens when youre trying to teach someone else to fly and then try to pick it up. When the transmitter is in someone elses hands and it is on the propellers can start spinning anytime so be very careful! Not everybody can fly a quadcopter with confidence because of a number of different controls its sophisticated design and intricate machinery. Even taking it off the ground and keeping it in the air without damaging objects that come in between is an art to master. Beginners especially find it really hard to fly a quadcopter without experiencing crash landing. Follow the above-mentioned guide if you are trying to polish your piloting skills or wish to master this art to enjoy the activity to its fullest.
